YAI cultivates and grooms middle school students in low-economic status areas who possess a natural love for reading, writing, and story-telling. Through our program, we help students hone in on their unique writing skills, teach them how to tell stories that inspire others, empower them to use their words to change the world, and teach them leadership and entrepreneurial skills. Though our goal is to guide them into becoming published authors, our ultimate mission is to protect the dreams of these students. We hope students grow to believe they can and will become everything they desire.
